Visit from Nephew Roman

Richard's nephew Roman from Modesto came for a visit just after New Years. We played a lot of Wii and did some sightseeing around SF: Golden Gate Park, Haight Ashbury, Sea Cliff, and Pacific Heights. We picked up Shaun and spent our Saturday at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (DK for short). It was a bit cold but we had fun!

As is our custom, we try on silly hats in the shops of all the amusement parks we go to :-)

Happy 2009!

We wish you a great 2009, full of health, happiness, and prosperity! We rang in the new year in SF with our friend Shaun, just the usual drunken fights and spilled beer, fun!

SF Zoo

The rain stayed away for the day and we decided to walk around the SF Zoo with our friend Heda. It seems that a lot of people took Monday off with the kids since the place was packed! Here's a shot of our favorite bear :-)

Christmas Day

Christmas Day we decided to keep it simple and spend the day together. For breakfast, Richard made poached eggs and ham (from last night, yum!). We opened presents from santa, friends, family and each other.

The bears seemed very interested in the day's activities. Then we set up the Wii system that Shaun gave us (so generous!) and went bowling!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve dinner! The table is all set for our friends Shaun Willett, TJ Wilkinson, Heda Boscoe, Richard Neipling, and Shawn White.

Dinner was yummy, with hunter's stew, potatoes and honey roasted ham.

Time to open presents! :-)

Save Lids to Save Lives

This year we collected 1,023 pink Yoplait lids (worth $102.30)! Thank you to all our friends and family, especially Vee and Dave! The lids were mailed in and proceeds go to fight breast cancer.

Annual Christmas Party

Here we are at John and Jimmy's annual Christmas party. Food and fun was had by all :-)

What could be better than a pre-Christmas taco dinner?! Shawn, Nick, Richard, Laura and Al.

O' Christmas Tree

We decorated the home and got the tree a bit earlier than usual this year.

We don't shy away from bargain hunting, so we went to Target again to pick out our noble fir.

We brought home a nice 7 footer and got busy :-)

There's a wreath on our door and the tree looks great! Look at all those presents!!!
